Head Statistics
As Head of Statistics, Himadri’s responsibility is to make data a strategic asset for NPCI so that it can be leveraged at every decision point and make NPCI a data-driven company. He is also responsible to enhance fraud model performance for better risk management and carrying out research studies leveraging the huge amount of payment system data available.
Himadri has over 20 years of experience working in Statistics and Data Science. He worked in different leadership positions and played global roles in Tyson Foods, Sabre Airlines and IBM. Prior to joining NPCI, he was with J P Morgan as an Executive Director for Data, Analytics and Technolgy function for their Commercial Banking business. He is a Postgraduate in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata.
